You know how critics slap that label on just about any thriller they’ll get their hands on? This one lived up to it’s reviews. Imagine reading the most sickeningly twisted Law and Order SVU episode you can imagine. The type where you sit staring at your TV through the “produced by Dick Wolf” credits, open mouthed and about ready to vomit while simultaneously muttering “what in the f*** did I just watch”. You don’t come back from a book like this, it sticks with you.
I’m going to go fold my laundry now in a vain attempt to put my brain at ease enough to go to bed!
Bought this book last summer and finally got down to reading it today! I now don’t regret waiting to read it because it wasn’t all that great. The last 100 pages turned that around, but for a 400 page book I shouldn’t have had to wait that long!
